The Host The Host (aka Lorne aka Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan) is a demon who left his home dimension Pylea to come to LA and run a Karaoke Bar named 'Caritas'. He has a connection to the Powers that Be and is able to read people's destinies when they sing for him. This way he helps demons and humans alike to find their right path in life. He has helped and advised Angel on a variety of occasions and they have become friends over time. After the Caritas had been destroyed (a couple of times actually) he moved into the hotel and sometimes also helped out as a babysitter for Connor. At the end of Season 3 he left for Las Vegas but has recently rejoined the crew back in LA. "I'm the Host, have you met me? I never shut up."

Andy Hallett Andy Hallett was born on August 4, 1975 in the small town of Osterville, Massachusetts. After High School he majored in Business at Assumption College in Worcester before moving to Los Angeles. Andy had several jobs there before Producer Joss Whedon saw him sing in a Universal City Blues revue and made up the part of the Host. However Andy likes to emphasize that he didn't get the part right away but had to audition for it along with other actors. When he joined the show at the beginning of season 2 it was his first acting job ever and he has been a popular member of the cast ever since.
